Join us for a day of shopping or browsing with lunch on your own. The 4.2 million square foot Mall of America was built on the ground that once housed the Twins' outdoor baseball and the Vikings' football stadium (Metropolitan Stadium). Homeplate is now in Knott's Camp Snoopy -- the indoor amusement park. The shopping complex is laid out with a major department store in each corner: Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Sears. For the local department store favorite, Marshall Fields (formerly, Dayton's), you'll have to go to one of the other malls or to the Twin Cities' downtowns. (In downtown Minneapolis, you'll find two other major chains that aren't represented at the Mall, Sak's and Neiman Marcus.) There are, however, over 500 stores, fourteen movie screens, and over 50 places to eat. Many people go to the Mall to be married. Our pickup locations are: Bloomer, New Auburn, Chetek, Cameron, Rice Lake, Barron, Almena and Turtle Lake.
